have a customer in Cary, NC named Kim, I think she
is supplying the entire state with Obama Jewelry.
She has taken it upon herself to make business
cards advertising my jewelry and even purchases
extras to have on hand whenever she encounters
someone who notices her bracelets, earrings and
Hope necklace. Recently she had a convention
watching party at the theater where she works, as a
fundraiser for the campaign she purchased some
Obama jewelry to be auctioned off the highest
bidder. The event was covered in the local paper
along with a picture of my Obama jewelry !
The story with Kim
continues with this email I received on September

Hi, River,
Guess what guess what guess what?!!?!??!??! Actress Alfre Woodard was just here in this very office in Cary, North Carolina, about 4 hours ago, and she saw my bracelet, earrings, and necklace and had a staff member come find me after she was done speaking!!!! She sat down with me and took my card that has your Web site on it, and I rifled through my bag and gave her my very, very last bracelet and a pair of earrings, and she was sooooooo delighted!!! She asked for more cards that she could give to six people, and it was awesome!!!
I wish I had taken a photo, but I was so completely gobsmacked by the fact that she was talking to me that I didn't even think of it, and then I didn't want to ask her to wait while I ran to get my camera.
And just then, my friend Paulette came by (she has purchased on of your necklaces and was wearing it at the time) and Alfre looked at Paulette's necklace and looked at mine and said, "Well, I guess I know a trend when I see one." Ha!
River - YOU caused me to Meet Alfre Woodard !
So she gave me her address and asked if I would send her more cards and also some of the Obama stickers I have.
